Dasara Worldwide Box Office
Natural Star Nani who has been seeing down time most often with his films for the last 4 years is now looking for a strong success. His aspirations couldn’t get better boosting than with the Srikanth Odela’s Dasara. Also starring Keerthy Suresh, the rustic village action drama has received generally positive response – with criticism aiming at lack of a new story – including our glowing review.

The movie opened to record breaking $647K in the North American market with its premieres on Day 1. It also has the distinction of being in the top 5 at the American box office. It is rare occurrence for even bigger stars but Nani’ pulled an impressive feat with his so-called pan-India movie.
Coming to Nizam, Dasara had taken a terrific opening by becoming the movie with biggest opening day share for any Telugu film. Excluding hires et al, Dasara collected ₹6.75 Cr. beating even Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. Overall in Teluguland, the numbers stand as follows. A gross of about 22 Cr. and a share of 13.31 Cr.
Worldwide, Dasara collected ₹20.11 Cr. share and a gross of highly unexpected ₹38 Cr. Things couldn’t go better than this for a Tier 2 star. Even some of the bigger star films failed to cross ₹30 Cr. Mark.
Dasara Weekend Box Office Projections
If everything goes right in the same direction, Dasara will achieve breakeven which is around ₹50 Cr. by Monday evening. Non-Teluguland collections in India, and Hindi belt numbers aren’t big for now, we have to wait and see how it performs in the coming days.
